• (Q) I cannot find my car on your website?
  • Our database does have most makes and models however its not a problem if you cant find your particular model. Just email us at admin@dealerbid.co.uk with your make / model or call us on (0845) 2575669 and we can quickly add it to our system for you.
• (Q) My car is a non runner can I still offer it?
  • Sure, we have dealers registered who specialise in the purchase on non-runners and even scrap vehicles.
• (Q) I have a private plate I want to keep
  • No problem, it is important however that you let any potential buyer know that you will be transfering your number plate or putting on retention. Retention can take some time to complete and could alter the valuation of the vehicle if for example it is going to cause collection to go into another month.
• (Q) Why do you need my contact details?
  • You contact details will be on the email notifications we send out to our registered dealers. These will be used to contact you with offers and also allow the dealer to know whereabouts in the country you are. Dealers will only be given your post town, email address and contact number. If you wish to be contacted just by email you may mention this in the comments section when offering your car.
• (Q) Can I offer my commercial vehicle or classic car?
  • Yes of course. We have commercial buyers registered on our system as well as dealers who just specialise in older, classic cars.
• (Q) How much does it cost?
  • It costs absolutely nothing to offer your vehicle on our website. Nothing to offer your car and nothing if you sell it. A recent user had been offered 45,000 for their Bentley Continential GT, dealerbid archieved them a figure of 48,000 from a dealer they would have never otherwise have known about, all for the sake of spending a little time uploading their vehicle details.
• (Q) Am I guaranteed to get an offer?
  • As with anyting being sold there can never be any guaranteed buyers, you may have a selling price that is just unrealistic or a vehicle that has a limited buying market. However as with anything the bigger the audience the greater chance of success and this is exactly what dealerbid does.

The Transaction

• (Q) How will I be contacted?
  • Our registred dealers will be sent an email notification detailing your vehicle as well as your contact name, post town, email adress and contact number. If you wish to be contacted just by phone or just by email you should mention this in the comments section when offering your vehicle.
• (Q)Do I have to deliver my vehicle to the dealer?
  • All our dealers will expect to have to collect any vehicle they offer to purchase via dealerbid.co.uk. However there may be occassions where a dealer will make you an offer based upon you delivering the vehicle to them.
• (Q) How will I be paid?
  • Our registred dealers will expect you to want cleard funds and will usually arrange a bankers draft or transfer payment to yourself. Again this is something you should discuss to avoid any problems upon collection.
• (Q) What if I still owe money on my car?
  • No problem, our vehicle input form will ask you if you have any outstanding finance that needs to be settled so all our buyers will know this and arrange with yourself for this to be settled. They will usually require an up tp date settlement figure and give you two payments, one payable to the finance company and the balance payable to you.
• (Q) What if I owe more than the car is worth?
  • This isn't a problem, although the buyer will need cleared funds for the difference between what they offer and what you owe on your vehicle so they can make payment directly to the finance company to settle your outstanding finance. Again this is something that you should discuss with the buying dealer to avoid any problems upon collection.

• (Q) Can I see what kind of vehicles that are offered before I join?
  • Sure, if you click on "Vehicles Offered" at the top of this page this will enable you to view all the vehicles currently offered on our site. (The contact details are only available to registered approved dealers).
• (Q) How do I make an offer?
  • Each vehicle offered is by a member of the public. All contact details are listed on the email notifications as well as by viewing the vehicles on the site. You should contact the seller directly and make them your offer, you can obviously also clarify any questions you might have.
• (Q) Are there any charges once I purchase a vehicle?
  • None at all. The subscription fee allows you unlimited vehicle offers and its entirely up to you how many vehicles you buy. We make no additional charges at all.
