Details of Fiat’s new Fiat F500 GQ special edition for the UK market that made its debut at this years Geneva motor show have just been announced by the manufacturer. This new special edition 500 is based on a collaboration with men’s magazine GQ designed to be modern, stylish and sophisticated. The magazine which is owned by Conde Nast has a reputation for setting trends in style and culture across the globe. The new model is an attempt by Fiat to make the supermini appeal to a larger audience, predominately males with Fiat themselves saying
“the new Fiat 500GQ is dedicated to those customers who love the metropolitan lifestyle and are fans of sophisticated aesthetics and uncompromising style.”
The car features two-tone paintwork, called “Groove Metal Grey” and “Crossover Black” by Fiat. It is based on the 500S and will be available in both hatchback and convertible models with the engines from the current 500S being used – the? 875cc TwinAir (84bhp), 1.2 litre petrol (68bhp) and the 1.3 litre Diesel MultiJet (94bhp).
Specification includes a leather sports steering wheel with controls for infotainment, Bluetooth connectivity, black leather seats with and orange stitching, black wing mirrors, 16″ Sport alloy wheels with orange 500 logo’s on the centre caps, a GQ logo on the B-pillar and an orange 500 logo on the dashboard.
Pricing starts at ?13,110 for the 1.2 litre hatchback and ?15,930 for the convertible equivalent. The diesel model starts life at ?15,510 and ?18,330 for the convertible respectively.
