Kia are due to reveal their all-new four door coupe concept car at the Seoul International Motor show today. The new coupe is called ‘CUB’ and with its radical styling it is aimed at the trendy market place of drivers wanting something a little bit different. It’s a sleek looking coupe that is less than four metres long, has a sophisticated interior with nifty new safety feature that monitors the driver’s biorhythms through contact patches on the steering wheel and there’s even a special camera which allows the driver to use hand movements to command the cars entertainment system.
Outside the car has a kind of ‘Disney Cars’ look to the front end with a cheeky looking front grill and two-point LED lights similar to those featured on Kia’s flagship Quoris that is available in some markets. Some of the funky little design features are the set of rear-opening ‘suicide’ doors and the ‘turning vanes’ on the side-sills designed to add definition to the cars shape.
The car will be powered by the 1.6-litre GDI turbo engine from the Pro_cee’d GT, which develops 201bhp.
