Fiat are adding a new model to its “500” line-up at the end of this year called the “500L MPW”. This seven seater “Multi Purpose Wagon” has the drivability of a city car with the comfort of a C segment saloon or station wagon and the space of a MPV. The 500L MPW is 203mm longer than the 500L which allows the car to come with five fixed seats and two additional fold away seats for occasional use. With the two additional seats stored away the MPW has 638 litres of boot space so plenty of room and making it the most compact 5 + 2 seater in the MPV segment.
The car will be made available with two petrol engines and two diesel engines – a 1.4 litre 95bhp petrol unit, a 0.9 litre 105bhp TwinAir Turbo petrol unit and the diesels being a 1.6 litre 105bhp and a 1.3 litre 85bhp. The 1.3 Litre diesel unit will also be available with an automatic transmission option.
Two trim levels with be available for the 500L MPW – Pop Star and Lounge. There will also be a choice of six different interior trims,, 19 different exterior colours, 15 different designs of alloy wheel and a whole host of optional extras such as Leather, Sat-Nav and rear parking camera.
