Headlining the new Porsche Macan 4×4 will be the 370bhp + turbo variant when launched October next year.
It is believed that the new Macan will be powered by a new, slightly smaller 3.0 variant of the 3.6 V6 engine that is used in the Cayenne and Panamera models with two options of transmission, a seven speed manual or a seven speed PDK automatic as an optional extra.
It will be the only Porsche since 1995 to be built with a four-cylinder engine, the last being the Porsche 968.
Other engines in the lineup include a 190bhp 2.0 turbo diesel, and S-badged 3.6V6 as currently used in the Cayenne and a 250 bhp 3.0 V6 turbo Diesel as used in the Panamera.
