Sultry pop star Lana del Rey took the wraps off Jaguar’s flashy new F-Type sports car, pictured right, as a string of new British vehicles stole the Paris Motor Show from under the noses of the French this week.
The singer-songwriter even penned a special song called Burning Desire about the new two-seater roadster ? spiritual successor to the legendary E-Type of the Sixties ? which she performed at the star-studded VIP eve-of-show unveiling at the 18th-century Musee Rodin.
The 26-year-old American helped lift the covers off the car before performing her track.

The tune will also be the theme to a 12-minute mini-movie starring award-winning British actor Damian Lewis ? of Homeland fame ? being created by Jaguar in association with Ridley Scott Associates.
Expect also a remote desert, a nun, a Quentin Tarantino-style shoot-out and, of course, a very hot car.
The song will be included on Lana’s new album, Born To Die.
Inside its contemporary styling will be a choice of two supercharged 3-litre V6 engines.
There’s also an even more powerful supercharged 5-litre V8 unit developing nearly 500bhp, fitted to a super-slick eight-speed gearbox offering blistering performance and superb handling. The higher-performance F-Types will accelerate from rest to 60mph in just 4.2 seconds and have top speeds from 161 to 186 mph.
The roadsters will cost from ?58,500 to ?79,950 when they go on sale in spring. A hard-topped coupe version is expected to follow in late summer 2014.…More at RAY MASSEY: Lana del Rey unveils Jaguar’s flashy new F-Type sports car – Daily Mail
