The fastest production Skoda Octavia is going to make its debut at this years Goodwood festival of Speed on the 10th of July. The Skoda Octavia vRS has all the excellent features of the new Octavia but with a? 0 – 62 time of just 6.8 seconds and? a? top speed of 154mph its faster than the Volkswagen Golf GTi on which it’s based. ? The vRS is powered by the 217bhp TSi engine borrowed from the Volkswagen Golf and is available in both hatchback and estate form. Suspension has been adjusted for the vRS model also with the car sitting 12mm lower than the standard Octavia in Hatchback form and 13mm lower on the Estate model both models also feature XDS electronic differencial and multilink rear suspension.

The vRS can be immediately spotted from the Octavia line-up with its aggressive body-kit, vRS badging and honeycomb air intakes built into the front bumper, the car also benefits from sports seats, leather steering wheel, vRS sports dials, Xenon headlights with LED running lights and a choice of new designed 17″ 18″ and 19″ alloy wheels.

Prices for the new vRS are yet to be announced but the car will be available in European markets from July, starting with the United Kingdom.
