Survey says Child on Board badges cause accidents

The stickers we all see hanging in the back of car windows “Baby on Board” , “Child on Board” , “Little Terror on Board” designed to make other drivers think and be more cautious but a recent survey by says they are actually the cause of one in twenty accidents.

It is believed that the badges obscure drivers vision and awareness actually leading to accidents.

However there obviously is a huge benefit of the badges if there is a child on board in the event of an accident. Making the emergency services aware that there is a baby on board could save the childs life. But with child on board signs displayed when there is no child in the vehicle could be doing the opposite and actually putting members of the emergency services in danger.

According to a recent poll of two thousand drivers, forty six percent said they displayed the child on board badges wether the child was being transported in their vehicle or not.
